Members of Stockport’s business community have been competing not just in the office this week after organiser Graham Saul’s Cloud 9 Hosts and 7 other teams took to the track on an event to raise the profile and contribute to the running costs of Stockport based Ginetta Junior Champion, Kyle Hornby.
He has raced in televised events including one this weekend at world famous Brands Hatch. At a recent race at Croft he won the Rookie Cup, just days after completing his GCSE exams !!
Graham Saul is keen to support the local driver:
“I’m passionate about motorsport and race myself. It’s great to see young talent coming through and Kyle has the skills and maturity to be successful in motorsport. He has achieved so much and we are please to help him with this event”
The event was held at the Bredbury Karting centre who have also supported Kyle and was attended by many members of Marketing Stockport including Innes Design, Mike Petch Photography, Midshire, The Royal Bank of Scotland, Tectanet, Trust, Hallidays, Essential Personnel and Life Leisure.
Teams raced continuously for 1.5 hours each driver taking it in turns and Kyle jumped into the driving seat to assist each team to help with lap times – or he did with us – oops !
Kyle can be seen racing this weekend at Brands Hatch on ITV4 in the Ginetta Juniors as part of the British Touring Car Program.
